The Kensington Kitten and Neuter Cat Club was founded in 1900 in an age when when the members were society ladies, the cat shows were held on a Wednesday and the cats arrived by chauffeur driven car. The first shows were held at the Royal Horticultural Halls in Vincent Square in Kensington. Many of the club’s cups date from that age and like the Princess of Pless Rosebowl carry the names of their donors. The club caters exclusively for Neuters and Kittens both Pedigree and non Pedigree. The club show is held in the last week of July and always has a large entry of titled cats from all sections from Persians through to Siamese. The non Pedigree section is well supported and the Kensington Kitten and Neuter non Pedigree Stakes Final is held at the show. Heats are held throughout the year at other championship shows.
